Portrait Sittings
Your visit to Center Parcs is a great opportunity to get some fabulous pictures you will treasure for years.
Whatever ages your family or whatever size your group, our expert photographers will make you feel at ease, capture the mood you are after and create something special. Small babies, lively toddlers, family groups, reluctant teenagers, couples, large groups of friends and extended families are all in day’s work for us.

What to expect.
Our standard studio set up is a large white space. This helps give the pictures a clean contemporary look and means you can wear whatever colours you like.
Our style is informal and fluid. We’re happy to work to your brief or make suggestions. Either way we’ll do our best to help you relax & have fun. We’ll play music, use props and, for about half an hour, we’ll shoot lots of great pictures covering a range of different combinations and ‘poses.’
Afterwards, your photographer will explain what happens next and give you some paperwork. Most people like to stay for a few minutes and have a look at their pictures – but you do not have to do any decision making at this point. Instead you can view all your pictures securely online at your leisure; choose the picture that comes ‘free’ with your sitting and order others if you wish to.

Photography Lessons
-How to take better pictures of people
In just 90 minutes you can pick up a series of ‘Top Tips’
that will help you achieve great results whenever you photograph your family or
friends.
The workshop will cover composition, the use of light,
getting the best from your camera and managing your subject. It will be a mix
of discussion and practical work and will include some time in our studio, an
exterior shoot (weather permitting) and a chance to use a professional camera.
If you have your own camera with you, you are welcome to
bring that too.

Fashion Model Photography shoot
Every dreamed of being a fashion model? Well here’s a great chance to give it a try.
Get yourself ready in your trendiest clothes and head for the photography studio where an Aqua Sana beauty therapist will be on hand to make you look your cover-girl best. Then strut your stuff with a professional photographer and try a range of different lighting set ups.
The session includes one ‘free’ picture (a 6” x 8” unframed print) which you can choose online afterwards. Further prints or JPEGS can also be bought online if you wish.

Wildlife Photography
The abundance of approachable wildlife at Center Parcs allows a rare chance to have a guided introduction to this fascinating world.
A short presentation will give you an insight into some tricks of the trade. Then a practical session in the hide and a chance to use some professional camera equipment will give you a great chance to get some pictures you’ll be proud of.

Directions
From the main JDS entrance go past the Time Out Club and straight down past the games machines. The studio is through the left hand door at the end just before the cardio vascular gym.

Jenny
I have worked for Pret-a-Portrait since 2006; mainly here at Sherwood but also doing quite a bit of school photography too. It’s great fun and I really enjoy meeting so many different people every day!
I also co-run a photography business in Nottingham concentrating on fashion, music and graphic design. If and when I get a day off I like to sit down with a good book or go out and take yet more pictures!

I have worked for Pret-a-Portrait since 2004. I can’t believe that makes it 6 years already. It’s great fun meeting all the people that come to the studio here at Sherwood – and so nice when you capture a great moment that they really appreciate.
When not working I fill my time being a busy mum to 2 year old Thomas who keeps me on my toes.

Iain
Wildlife photography is a real passion for me. I initially joined Pret-a-Portrait in 2008 to run the wildlife photography workshops here. And then I saw how much fun the rest of the team were having in the studio, so now I’ve mastered that too!
As well as working here I keep busy with lots of other wildlife photography – I run my own workshops and recently one of my pictures won a commended in the British Wildlife Awards - as well as doing some weddings, portrait shoots and product photography.

I love taking photographs & making people laugh and so, after studying photography and film making, finding this job was an absolutely perfect fit.
I also enjoy doing a wide range of other photography including weddings and landscapes and architecture. And when I’m not taking pictures I indulge my other passions - independent cinema and contemporary art.

People always say never work with children or animals. At Pret-a-Portrait I do both! But despite the saying – it seems to work rather well. Nothing makes me smile more than seeing pictures I have taken being loved and appreciated by our customers.
When I’m not doing photography I tend to my allotment and chilli farm in the hope of perfecting a year round crop.
